Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actress. Her first release was hilarious, intelligently composed rap songs that addressed topics like race as well as sexual orientation. She then expanded her audience to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was from the trumpet. In the following years, she took up the classical and hip-hop genres. In the school, she focused on journalism and woman's studies. She studied Mandarin briefly in Beijing. The focus changed towards music after she completed her degree. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. On the album, there was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. This latter song was directly connected to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. A musician and author was in her portfolio, she decided to determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films such as Neighbors to Storks. In 2018, her breakthrough performances included Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP In Fina We Trust.
